Happy New Year! I hope that everyone had a fun and safe holiday. I spent the evening at home with my family and cuddling with my sick kids. It's been a rough fall and winter for sickness in my home. Here's wishing for a healthy new year.
New Year's Eve also celebrated something special. My in-law's 50th wedding anniversary. What a great achievement! Here is the gift that I made for them.
I imported the split letter G svg file into Cricut's design space and added the names and date. Everything was cut on black vinyl and applied to a piece of vellum. I didn't have it all done yesterday so I hope that they like it when I give it to them today. Happy Anniversary!
What could be in this pretty box?
A surprise card to celebrate their 50th.
I purchased the svg file from www.digiplayground.com. I love this card! The top is a battery operated tea light. The cake is easy to put together and you can buy the card box separate. The sides open up when you lift the lid. I didn't have any gold paper laying around so I used gold vinyl. The best part of using vinyl is that it's already adhesive. No extra glued fingers.
A good friend also had a celebration on this day. Her 40th birthday. Happy Birthday Becky!
And Happy New Year's everyone.
